Kidzone Kids Make Soft Friends to Cheer Sick Kids at McMaster

child-made felt animals

Courtesy of their newly acquired hand-sewing skills, our Kidzone children are helping young patients at McMaster receive festive cheer this Christmas in the form of sweet little handmade stuffed animal friends.

Over the past several weeks our church seniors and Kidzone volunteers have been assisting our children in sewing these adorable and colourful felt creations, which were recently delivered to McMaster Children’s Hospital by Nadia and Pastor Benton.

Along with the festively packaged animals were a letter for the recipients, pictures of our children making the gifts, a description of what Kidzone is and who we are, along with a Christmas message and Nadia’s business card.

Says Nadia, “It was a fun process! The children had so much interest in making these felt animals, and this wouldn’t happen without a lot of help.” She wishes to thank Freida, Benton, Tina, Sue, the senior volunteers, and her Kidzone volunteer crew for all their assistance.

We can’t wait to see what our kids will be up to next as they share the love of Jesus in our community!
