How to Donate

Tithes and offerings are not collected during our worship service. To give, please use the slot provided at the welcome centre in the foyer. Fill out an envelope to receive a charitable receipt at year-end. You can also give online. See information below.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” Malachi 3:10, NIV

Donation by Credit Card

Adventist Giving Online is a service offered by the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. Credit card transaction fees are not passed on to the local church so you receive credit for 100% of your donation.

Donation by Cash/Cheque

Cash or cheques (payable to “Really Living Adventist Church” may be dropped off in the offering slot at the Welcome Centre in the lobby or you may mail a cheque to our church office.

Along with your donation, please indicate your name and address so that we may issue you a charitable tax receipt at the end of the year. Also, please indicate what your donation is for (e.g., tithe, church budget, etc.).

Weekly Offering Appeal

Each week, a special offering appeal is designated by the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists to help further the work of the gospel. Click here to read about the recipient of this coming Sabbath’s special offering. To give to this cause, fill out a tithe envelope at church and write in the name of the special offering recipient. An offering appeal schedule is also at the welcome desk.

  • What is Tithe?

Tithe is a tenth portion (10%) of your income that God claims as His (Lev. 27:30). In the Seventh-day Adventist Church, contributions designated as tithe are pooled to support the gospel ministry of the world church.

  • What is Offering?

Because tithe is reserved for a special purpose, freewill offerings provide the funding for many other necessary functions including expenses of the local church. Offerings are a gift above and beyond tithe. The giving percentage is left to the individual, but a personal giving plan (PGP) provided by the worldwide church and used by many suggests 3-5% of income be donated to the local church budget, 2-3% to the world church, and 1-2% to the local conference.

  • Church Budget: Where does your gift go?

Your contribution to the church budget is what covers the day-to-day expenses and ministries of Really Living, including some staff salaries, church office expenses, utilities, facility maintenance, constituent fees to GAA, and all local ministry and outreach expenses. We count on your faithful giving to help us meet our obligations and fulfill our vision.

  • What is the Building Fund?

If you wish to contribute to the construction costs of the Really Living Centre, please designate your donation to ‘Church Building Fund’. Thank you for helping us create a place of hope and wholeness for our friends and neighbours in Hamilton and beyond.
