Sixteen eager travellers left Canada today for a humanitarian adventure in the mountains of Peru. For the next two weeks they’ll be helping to repair and renovate a school in the remote village of Velille, five hours’ drive from the city of Cusco.
With the church van and trailer packed to the hilt, ten of the team members departed from the church office this morning around 11:30 am, en route to Toronto airport where the other six members would join them for the flight to Peru.
An estimated 15 hours of travel awaits them before they reach Cusco where they will stay overnight before continuing by car to their final destination.
We pray for safe travels, good health for the volunteers, and a very successful and impactful project that will leave the community they serve a much better place.
