An estimated 800-1000 people stepped through the doors of the Really Living Centre on Sunday, September 8 to enjoy a grand opening weekend family fun fair.
A mostly sunny day saw activities for all ages including bouncy castles, inflatable games for teens and adults, a petting zoo, face painting, a photo booth, food trucks, an inspirational movie playing in the auditorium, and a door prize draw for first-time visitors.
Favourite activities for adults included the wipeout sweeper, where six individuals enter a circle and must jump over a swinging arm as it rotates around at an increasingly hectic pace, without having their feet knocked out from under them. The bungee run extreme pitted three individuals against one another to see who could run the furthest down an inflatable course before their bungee harnesses snapped them back against the wall of the inflatable.
It was truly a great time for attendees as well as the 40+ volunteers who were so excited to have such a great public turnout at this free event.
