2016 Food Drive

food drive volunteers pose around food bank sign

On May 28 a contingency of church members and friends participated in our 4th annual Food Drive for Neighbour to Neighbour’s food bank. With highs reaching 31 degrees plus humidity, this scorcher of a day did not dissuade our brave volunteers from collecting 2,475 pounds of non-perishables in Hamilton, plus an additional 150 pounds from four members in Brantford.

Although the amount collected did not beat our previous record, Neighbour to Neighbour’s Manager of Food Services, Mark Raymond, expressed his heartfelt thanks for the tremendous impact the food would have — especially considering that the food bank’s shelves had been running dry the week prior due to it being a low season for giving.

A big thank you to all who participated!
